Smart Automotive Services was formed in January 2006 by Jim Milliner. Jim has thirty years of automotive expertise, some of which is detailed on this page. Jim currently operates Smart Automotive Services.

• “A” grade mechanic
• Member of the Institute of Mechanical Engineers
• Over 30 year’s automotive experience

History

• Apprentice to mobile tuning organisation
• Service station work for several years
• Managed Hamilton service station.
• Joined G&A Motors which carried out repairs, maintenance and Dyno Tuning Services to Australian and European cars. We also were engaged to do many performance engine rebuilds for both Road and Race.
• Supported Driftking Performance (Geebung) shop specializing in Japanese performance cars

Motor Racing Experience

• Involvement since 1975 competing in and supporting various Sports Sedans.
• Drove and co-prepared Cortina Mk1 Sports Sedan with Danny Meneguzzo
• Drove and co-prepared Escort Mk 2 Sports Sedan with Danny Meneguzzo
• Helped prepare Group C VK Commodore – Alf Grant and Craig Kinmonth
• Helped prepare Mazda RX7 for Bathurst 1983 to 1987 – Kinmonth/Burbidge
• Built various engines for our Meneguzzo sports sedans

Current Motor Racing Involvement

• Preparation and Motec support and tuning for Meneguzzo BMW sports sedan
• Engine building and support for Datsun 260Z Classic Adelaide Tarmac Tally Car (Piloted by Richard Graham)
• Engine building and support for Wilbur Grahams' RB30DET powered Datsun 260Z
